1. About the Client
Disney Streaming, the digital media arm of The Walt Disney Company, manages and expands the company’s global streaming services, including Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+. With a vast subscriber base and worldwide reach, Disney Streaming is central to shaping Disney’s direct-to-consumer strategy. In 2023–2024, the division spearheaded a major initiative to consolidate Disney+ and Hulu into a unified platform, representing a significant milestone in the evolution of Disney’s streaming ecosystem.
2. Client Needs
As part of this major transformation, Disney Streaming sought HASHO EMBROIDERY’s expertise to create a series of commemorative coins that would:
Celebrate the unification of Disney+ and Hulu, highlighting the successful integration into a seamless platform experience.
Strengthen internal culture by providing tangible recognition for employees across teams who contributed to the transition.
Reinforce messaging for internal campaigns around readiness, availability, and brand alignment.
Deliver premium, collectible-quality coins that reflect Disney’s world-class brand identity and attention to detail.
The coins were intended for distribution during leadership events, company milestones, team all-hands, and onboarding programs, serving both as symbolic rewards and enduring internal brand artifacts.
3. Our Solution
HASHO EMBROIDERY designed and produced a series of premium metal coins, each reflecting storytelling, symbolism, and brand alignment:
Unified Platform Coin (Disney Streaming + Hulu): A two-sided design celebrating the integration of Disney Streaming and Hulu. One side features Hulu, the other Disney Streaming, both framed by “Unified Platform” and accented with the BRIM label to reinforce internal branding.
Availability Coins (Red and Green): A bold red coin stating “NOT AVAILABLE Make Yourself Better” and a green coin reading “AVAILABLE Always Ready!” These motivational coins reinforced cultural messaging around engagement, reliability, and mindset, anchored by the Disney logo.
Disney+ Coin with Mickey Gloves: Featuring the Disney+ logo, stylized Mickey gloves, and the classic Disney arc, this coin combined legacy iconography with a nod to the future of streaming, serving as a unique recognition token for Disney+ team members involved in the platform migration.
Each coin was crafted with custom finishes, engraved details, and selective color fills to align with its division while maintaining a cohesive collection.
4. Final Outcome
The commemorative coin series was enthusiastically received across Disney Streaming. Distributed at executive summits, onboarding kits, and key events, the coins became integral to internal storytelling, celebrating achievements, aligning teams, and fostering cultural unity during a major period of transformation.
Beyond their visual appeal, the coins symbolized a shared commitment to innovation, excellence, and collaboration within one of the world’s most recognized media companies.
